2 GW PPA mark surpassed: successful start to the year for Sunnic Lighthouse
Hamburg-based green energy marketer Sunnic Lighthouse is starting the new year with successful figures and the expansion of its portfolio.
With the conclusion of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) amounting to more than 2 gigawatts, Sunnic has further strengthened its position in the industry and, according to a recent survey commissioned by Montel News, is one of the largest direct marketers in Germany.
Sunnic will have its own stand at the leading trade fair for the European energy industry, E‑world in Essen, for the first time this year and will present its latest services to a broad specialist audience. Sunnic has recently expanded its range of services to include trading in electricity from subsidized wind turbines (post-EEG). In addition, the ENERPARC subsidiary is now also taking over the marketing of battery storage systems (BESS) from the parent company’s pipeline and has already concluded the first contracts.
Arved von Harpe, Managing Director of Sunnic Lighthouse: “We are increasingly moving away from EEG marketing and focusing on direct marketing via partners – this puts us in a good position for the future. The solar plant and storage portfolio of our parent company ENERPARC alone will enable us to supply more than 3,000 megawatts of green electricity via PPA contracts over the next three years. We are very pleased to be at E‑world this year with our stand and to present our products.”
Sunnic Lighthouse’s traditional business continues to include the conclusion of PPAs with companies, municipal utilities and energy suppliers, as well as the direct marketing of wind and solar power and the full supply of industrial customers.
