To meet the challenge of maintaining grid stability amid a growing number of consumers and generators, grid operators are increasingly digitalizing their low‑voltage networks. For full grid transparency, ConnectPoint provides the field‑proven hardware component: the ConnectPoint LVM Box. It works seamlessly with the openKONSEQUENZ Low Voltage Cockpit. Using the data collected by the LVM Box, the cockpit can detect bottlenecks and initiate countermeasures to prevent overloads.

How the openKONSEQUENZ Low Voltage Cockpit works

The openKONSEQUENZ Low Voltage Cockpit processes and enriches measurement data from the low‑voltage grid and visualizes it in real time. The software displays current load levels and identifies potential overloads based on predefined thresholds. Exceeding these thresholds triggers alarms that initiate measures such as temporarily dimming individual consumer systems. These measures to relieve the grid can be executed manually or automatically by the software. The solution incorporates regulated fairness rules for load reduction and automates mandatory regulatory reporting.
