New focus topic: ‘Resilient Infrastructure’
The European energy industry is placing greater emphasis than ever on its central meeting place: with around eight months to go before the start of E‑world energy & water 2027, the leading trade fair is reporting an exceptionally high booking level. Already, 85 per cent of the exhibition space has been allocated. The strong interest from companies is reflected in the event’s expanded hall layout: from February 16 to 18, 2027, E‑world will also occupy Halls 7 and 8 at Messe Essen.
“This level of demand highlights the importance of E‑world for the European energy sector. Especially in times of profound transformation, face-to-face interaction and direct networking remain key success factors,” says Stefanie Hamm, Managing Director of E‑world GmbH. The current floor plan is available on the E‑world website and is continuously updated.
While Halls 1 to 7 provide space for product presentations and professional networking, Hall 8 is designed to further enhance the visitor experience. As a dedicated service and infrastructure hall, it offers greater convenience thanks to spacious cloakrooms and an expanded range of catering facilities. Sabina Großkreuz, also Managing Director of E‑world GmbH, says: “The upcoming E‑world will also open the East Entrance for the first time. This will make arrival noticeably more convenient, particularly for guests traveling by public transport, and provide even better access to the exhibition grounds.”
New focus topic: ‘Resilient Infrastructure‘
Alongside its expanded exhibition space, E‑world is also deepening its content offering. With the new focus area ‘Resilient Infrastructure‘, the 2027 edition of the trade fair will address one of the sector’s most pressing topics. Stricter regulatory requirements, geopolitical challenges and the tangible effects of climate change are forcing the industry to take action.
The focus area will take a comprehensive look at the measures required at different levels – ranging from IT security and the protection of increasingly digitalized networks to technological solutions for safeguarding security of supply, as well as climate adaptation concepts and strategic planning for municipalities.
Throughout the three days of the trade fair, these topics will also take center stage at a dedicated forum program. In this way, E‑world brings the complex interactions within modern energy systems to life and promotes discussion on concrete solutions for a resilient energy supply.
Year-round network: exhibitor list and community offerings
The industry has a direct line to the trade fair well before the event takes place in February. From 1 July, the latest list of exhibitors for E‑world 2027 will be available in the digital E‑world Community. Registered members enjoy benefits such as direct access to contact details and the relevant contacts within participating companies.
The Community also serves as a digital knowledge platform throughout the year. In addition to the summer interview on 22 June with Ludwig Möhring (BVEG) and Ulf Heitmüller (VNG), numerous webinars will address pressing industry topics such as municipal heat planning and resilient energy systems. The official virtual launch of the intensive preparation phase for the trade fair will be the digital conference ‘E‑world Kick-off’ from November 17 to 19, 2026, connecting exhibitors and trade visitors well in advance of the event.
