At E‑world 2026, the Data & AI consultancy taod will show how energy suppliers use AI-based customer value analysis to increase closing rates and use budgets more efficiently.

Energy suppliers invest significant budgets in tariffs, prices and campaigns. And yet they fall short of their sales and marketing goals. The reason for this is not the offer itself, but the wrong time to address customers. Especially in a market environment with highly competitive pressure, rising costs and a growing willingness to change, this discrepancy is becoming increasingly apparent. This is exactly where taod comes in at E‑world energy & water 2026.

Under the motto “Timing beats tariff”, the Data & AI consultancy taod shows how energy companies can use individually developed, AI-based customer value analyses to identify which customer is relevant when and which action achieves the greatest economic effect at that time.

“Not every customer is receptive to an offer at all times. Some are about to change, others are open to an upgrade, many are simply not responsive at the moment,” explains Benjamin Hinz, CTO of taod. “If you treat all customers equally, you produce wasted reach. Timing is crucial to make a real impact.”

Depending on the data situation, business model and objectives, taod develops tailor-made decision-making models together with energy suppliers that enable concrete recommendations for action. When is it worthwhile to contact sales? When does restraint make sense? When does service create more value than sales? And which offer can achieve the highest economic benefit? Both customer behavior and business targets are included in the modelling.

AI-based customer analyses help energy suppliers to deploy marketing and sales resources in a targeted manner where they have a measurable impact. The result is higher completion rates, decreased churn, and much more efficient use of existing budgets without the need for additional campaigns or higher discounts.
