Program

As Europe’s largest energy trade fair, E‑world energy & water is the central meeting place for the international energy industry. In addition to conferences, we offer a diverse forum program for the entire industry as well as the Career Day for future specialists in the energy industry. Please find below an overview of the various program areas of E‑world.

Our four expert forums Change, Future, Hydrogen Solutions and New Energy Systems, which are open to our visitors, offer the trade fair audience exciting presentations, Q&As and panel discussions with top-class international speakers. At E‑world 2025, there were different focus topics per forum and per day of the trade fair, which served both as orientation and as a basis for exchange at E‑world energy & water. Our Expert Forums: Overview

New Energy Systems Forum

The program of the New Energy Systems Forum (Hall 1) revolved around the question of how European energy systems can steer the transformation towards renewables. The focus topic Renewables in Europe on February 11 examined this transformation against the backdrop of the German power plant strategy, among other things. “New Energy Grids, the main topic on the second day of the trade fair (February 12), dealt with the effects of feeding renewable energy into our grids. Finally, the main topic “New Energy Markets focused on the technologies of new energy markets.

Change Forum

On the first day of the trade fair (February 11), the Change Forum focused on Economic Change, which dealt with issues relating to the economic aspects of the energy transition. On the second day of the trade fair (February 12), the focus was on security-related topics under the motto “Security for Critical Infrastructure, including secure operational management of distribution grids. Finally, the third day of the trade fair was dedicated to the Career Day and provided insights into topics such as modern management culture.

Future Forum

In keeping with its name, this year’s Future Forum was focused on the future of the energy transition. This includes the focus on “Future Cities on the first day of the trade fair, which took a closer look at the topic of ‘intelligent infrastructures’. The second day of the trade fair, on the other hand, highlighted communicative aspects of the energy transition with the focus topic “Future Heating“. As at the Change Forum, there was also a Career Day stage program at the Future Forum on the third day of the trade fair, which dealt with issues such as combating the shortage of skilled workers.

Hydrogen Solutions Forum

Over the three days of the trade fair, the Hydrogen Solutions Forum focused on the integration of hydrogen in all its facets. Innovative solutions and strategies were discussed on February 11 as part of the focus topic Climate Solutions. The second day of the trade fair was dedicated to the potential of LNG and shed light on this under the overarching focus topic European Gas Markets. The Hydrogen Solutions Forum program was rounded off by the focus topic Energy Transition in the Making on the third day of the trade fair, which dealt with future developments on the hydrogen market, among other things.

Events of the E‑world Program

Energy Leadership Meeting

The day before the trade fair, the Energy Leadership Meeting traditionally takes place in cooperation with Süddeutsche Verlag Veranstaltungen. On February 10, 2025, you will discuss the “Perspectives for the energy world of tomorrow” with the top people in the industry.

Fiber Optics Forum

The Fiber Optics Forum in cooperation with the Federal Association of Broadband Communication Breko and MICUS Strategy Consulting has been an integral part of the first day of the trade fair for years. On February 11, 2025, experts will discuss the new challenges in fiber optic expansion.

Career Day

On the third day of the trade fair, the Career Day brings young professionals and young potentials together with companies from the energy sector and opens up a wide range of career prospects. On February 13, 2025, the trade fair will once again become a networking event for young professionals and will offer companies the opportunity to get into direct contact with potential employees.

E‑world Kick-off 2025

The “E‑world Kick-off” digital conference from November 19 to 21, 2024 marked the starting point for preparations for the on-site trade fair in February. This year’s kick-off focussed on change and the pursuit of stability in the European and German energy sector. The audience experienced intensive discussions about grid stability, European security of supply and financing the municipal heating transition.

Day of Consulates

At the Day of Consulates on February 12, 2025, international representatives like ambassadors, consuls, embassy attachés and employees of chambers of commerce will again meet on site to strengthen international exchange and to get insights on current topics of the energy industry. An extensive program is provided to foster the exchange.
