As Europe’s largest energy trade fair, E‑world energy & water is the central meeting place for the international energy industry. In addition to conferences, we offer a diverse forum program for the entire industry as well as the Career Day for future specialists in the energy industry. Please find below an overview of the various program areas of E‑world.

Our four expert forums Change, Future, Climate Solutions and New Energy Systems, which are open to our visitors, offer the trade fair audience exciting presentations, Q&As and panel discussions with top-class international speakers. There are different focus topics per forum and per day of the trade fair, which serve as orientation within the broad program on stage.

Our Expert Forums: Overview

New Energy Systems Forum

The program of the New Energy Systems Forum (Hall 5) focused on the question of how the transformation of future energy markets can be shaped. The focus topic “Trading & Finance” on February 10, 2026 highlighted financing and marketing models for renewable energies and provided insights into various national markets. The main topic of the second day, “Future Energy Generation” (11.02.), dealt with future energy generation and grid integration of renewables. Finally, the program on Thursday (12.02.), focused under Energy Transition in Citieshow the energy transition is put into practice on a local level.

Change Forum

On the first day of the fair (February 10, 2026), the Change Forum (Hall 4) focused on “Transforming the Energy Sector”, highlighting startups and their technologies as well as their networking and scaling in a global context. On the second day of E‑world (11.02.), innovation topics were in the spotlight under the motto “Powering Innovation”, including robotics and innovative financing models. Finally, the third day of the fair was dedicated to the Career Day, providing insights into various career profiles in the industry.

Future Forum

The Future Forum (Hall 5) focused on the past and future development of the energy transition. This included, among other things, the focus on “Politics & Regulation” on the first day of the fair, with panel discussions on the burning political issues of the year. The current topic of flexibility in connection with the future development and integration of battery storage systems was the focus of the second day on the Future Forum under the motto “Flexibility & Storage.” Another focus was on the (regulatory) security measures for resilient infrastructure to be discussed on the third day of the fair under the motto “Resilient Infrastructures”.

Climate Solutions Forum

The Climate Solutions Forum (Hall 6) focused on technologies and solutions for a climate-neutral energy system. On February 10, 2026, the future development and use of gas in a global context was discussed under the motto “European Gas Markets”, including a European gas procurement strategy and the ramp-up of hydrogen. The focus of the second day of the trade fair, entitled “European Electricity Grids,” was on how the grids will develop at the European level and what developments in the grid sector are necessary for a successful energy transition. Day 3 was dedicated to the implementation of the heating transition and the transformation of the building sector, under the umbrella theme “Heating & Buildings”.

Digital program

Within the E‑world Community, we cover relevant energy industry topics in digital format throughout the year. Use our E‑world Community calendar and get an overview of our current digital events.

To the event calender

E‑world Kick-off 2026

The “E‑world Kick-off” digital conference took take place from September 16 to 18, 2025 and marked the start of preparations for the trade fair in February. The focus was on the European electricity market, the role of natural gas in the energy supply and the question of how municipalities can actively shape the future of energy.

Energy Leadership Meeting

The day before the trade fair, the Energy Leadership Meeting traditionally takes place in cooperation with Süddeutsche Verlag Veranstaltungen. On February 09, 2026, “Perspectives for the energy world of tomorrow” with the top people in the industry were discussed.

Fiber Optics Forum

The Fiber Optics Forum in cooperation with the Federal Association of Broadband Communication Breko and MICUS Strategy Consulting has been an integral part of the first day of the trade fair for years. On February 10, 2026, experts discussed the new challenges in fiber optic expansion.

Career Day

On the third day of the trade fair, the Career Day brings young professionals and young potentials together with companies from the energy sector and opens up a wide range of career prospects. On February 12, 2026, the trade fair once again became a networking event for young professionals and offered companies the opportunity to get into direct contact with potential employees.

Day of Consulates

At the Day of Consulates on February 11, 2026, international representatives like ambassadors, consuls, embassy attachés and employees of chambers of commerce once again met on site to strengthen international exchange and to gain insights on current topics of the energy industry. An extensive program was offered to foster dialogue and networking.
