FAQ for the E‑world Program

FAQ for the Call for Papers

Is there a fixed duration for contributions to the forums?

Yes. The slot length for a presentation is 30 minutes and for a panel discussion 60 minutes. During this time, you are free to decide how much room you plan for questions.

Does the title of my submission have to be final?

The title of your submission should sum up your topic and make us curious what you have to say. If we include your presentation or panel discussion in the final program, you may adjust the title if you wish.

Are there any costs involved when contributing to the E‑world program?

No. When selecting the program, we are looking first and foremost for the best topics for the E‑world audience. Therefore, you can only apply for a presentation slot via the Call for Papers. Sponsoring a presentation etc. is not possible.

In the context of the trade fair, we offer a wide range of sponsoring packages.

Please understand that E‑world does not pay any fees or travel expenses.

Can I submit several topics?

Yes, of course. Please send us the completed submission form for each subject or presentation. This is, of course, no guarantee that all your suggestions will be chosen for the program or can be given as a “block” during the trade fair.

When do I get an answer to my submission?

The Call for Papers is open until October 6, 2025. After this deadline, we create the program out of all submissions. Since we usually receive a lot of ideas, the selection process may take until the beginning of November. Thank you for your understanding.

What audience can I reach with my presentation?

Experts of all areas of the European energy sector come to E‑world as a visitor or exhibitor. For detailed information about the audience, please take a look at our visitor survey.

The forums within the trade fair halls are accessible for everyone with a trade fair ticket.

You are, of course, welcome to invite your contacts to E‑world via your networks.

What criteria are used to judge the submissions?

In the selection process, we take into account the relevance and actuality of the topic as well as the added value for the audience. All submissions, designed as specialist presentations, must have a clear practical relevance, have technically neutral content, be free of advertising and supplier-neutral.

As E‑world team, we know our way around many areas of the energy industry, but not always down to the last detail. If you want to submit a topic with a high level of detail, make sure it is presented in a way that is understandable to non-experts. This will make it easier for us to understand and increase your chance of placement.

There is no obligatory acceptance of the presentation by E‑world.

For which topics can I submit proposals?

We have prepared a selection of topics for which you can submit content proposals. This year you have the choice between the following topics:

  • Transforming the Energy Industry Through Innovation
  • Resilient Infrastructures
  • Heating & Buildings
  • Future Energy Generation
  • Call for Startups

Simply select the appropriate topic in the form. If your desired topic is not listed, you also have the option of submitting an application for our year-round digital program.

Will I be considered for a topic as soon as I have applied?

The submission is the first step towards the opportunity to participate in the content of E‑world. After the submission deadline on October 6, we will start an intense review of all applications and decide which submissions will be part of the forum program. Regardless of whether your application is accepted or rejected, you will always receive feedback from us. In the event of rejection, there is usually also the possibility of being considered as a successor for a subject area. If this possibility arises, we will inform you in good time.
